Ekklesia Ministries Requests Qualifications for Assistance with EPA Cleanup Grant Application and Implementation Activities

Ekklesia Ministries is a faith-based Christian organization and religious nonprofit based in Sheffield, Alabama. Ekklesia Ministries functions as:

  • A church/ministry center, offering worship, teaching, and discipleship.

  • A community outreach organization, serving families, children, and residents.

  • An educational ministry, operating programs such as Ekklesia Preschool & Child Development Center and Financial Literacy courses..

  • A leadership development ministry, equipping believers, leaders, and families.


This RFQ seeks a qualified firm to assist with writing of an EPA Brownfield Cleanup grant application. If awarded the grant, the selected firm will implement the cleanup scope of work, which will include removal of hazardous building materials, abatement oversight, architectural/ engineering planning, regulatory compliance, and redevelopment project management.


The proposed project seeks funding to support the environmental cleanup and safe restoration of a designated Brownfield property currently affected by hazardous building materials, specifically asbestos-containing materials (ACM), and lead-based paint (LBP).
